It is important for an artist to exhibit his work at home and abroad on a regular basis. In addition to his regular gallery Galerie Mokum, Hans Deuss has participated in many exhibitions. Below is a small selection.
For several years he exhibited his work at the renowned art fair PAN Amsterdam.
His work is exhibited at the stand of Gallery Mokum (Amsterdam, The Netherlands).
He has regularly participated in exhibitions at Museum Møhlmann (Appingedam, The Netherlands).
Including a solo exhibition and participation in various theme exhibitions.
In 2024 he took part in a group exhibition organized by Musiom (Amersfoort, The Netherlands) with the theme Silent Moments. An exhibition in which nature takes center stage.
In honor of the 50th anniversary of Mokum gallery, in 2014 the Drents Museum (Assen, The Netherlands) hosted an exhibition of well-known figurative painters such as Matthijs Röling, Barend Blankert, Wout Muller and Henk Helmantel and Hans Deuss.
In addition, work by many other figurative artists with whom the gallery collaborates was shown.
During the opening of Figuration Now, Mokum gallery 50 years, the Sacha Tanja Medal was also presented by Wim Pijbes, the director of the Rijksmuseum.
Work made by Hans Deuss is included in the collection of the Drents Museum.
In 2013 he participated in a wide-ranging exhibition Appearances are deceptive. This was held in the Noordbrabants Museum (‘s-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands) on the theme of Trompe-l’oeil, with attention paid to the way in which artists succeed in creating an optical illusion in their works.
Together with Bernadien Sternheim, Erik de Jong and Ellen de Groot, he organized the group exhibition Four Amsterdam Artists in the Nest Galery (Geneva, Switzerland) in 2012.
In 2009 he exhibited a number of his paintings in a themed group exhibition New Dutch Realism at the Evansville Museum of Art (Evansville, Indiana, USA).
In 2006, thirty well-known Dutch realist artists exhibited their work in the National Arts Club (New York, USA) under the title New Dutch Realism. It was a unique collaboration between seven Dutch galleries to promote the work of Dutch artists in the United States.
An exhibition was organized in the Okura Hotel (Tokyo, Japan) in 2000 where a selection of works of art were exhibited that are included in large corporate collections and are therefore never shown to a larger audience. Works by Hans Deuss that are included in the ING collection were exhibited there.
In the spring of 1999 his work was on display at the Morris Museum of Art (Augusta, Georgia, USA) as part of the group exhibition Heirs of Magic Realism about Dutch art.
In the autumn of 1987 he took part in the international art exhibition Figuration Critique at the Grand Palais Paris.
